About ABYSS Index
ABYSS Index is an independent crypto cycle-indicators platform. We publish our own indices and metrics (ABYSS Score, ABYSS Risk, on-chain, altseason), computed by us transparently, with the methodology and formulas published, and freely redistributable. Our commitment is transparency: everything we show is reproducible.
Not financial advice
ABYSS Index provides information and an index for educational and informational purposes. It is not financial, investment or tax advice, nor a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. Any decision is the user's sole responsibility; consult a qualified professional before investing.
Nature of the service
ABYSS Index only publishes information and a computed index. It does not custody, exchange, transfer or manage users' crypto-assets or funds, and therefore falls outside the scope of MiCA crypto-asset service providers (CASP).
Terms of use
Using the site implies acceptance of this notice. You may use the site, widgets, images and API for personal or professional purposes while keeping attribution to ABYSS Index; unlawful use, or attempting to harm, overload or breach the service, is not permitted. We may modify, suspend or withdraw any part of the service and update these terms; changes are posted on this page.
No warranties
Data comes partly from third parties and may contain errors, delays or interruptions. The index and content are provided “as is”, without any warranty of accuracy, availability, fitness or results. Use is at your own risk.
Risk
Crypto-assets are volatile, high-risk products. You may lose all of your invested capital. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
Data sources
We combine free or public-domain sources (Fear & Greed from alternative.me; macro from FRED; price from public exchanges; network hashrate from Blockchain.com) and compute the on-chain valuation metrics (MVRV, MVRV-Z, NUPL, realized price, Mayer, Puell) on our own Bitcoin node — not resold from third parties. The ABYSS index is our own derived work. The dollar reading is based on the Federal Reserve trade-weighted index (DTWEXBGS), not the “DXY” trademark.
Privacy
Publicly browsing the dashboard, indicators and API requires no sign-up and collects no identifiable personal data beyond technical logs (such as the IP address, used briefly by us and by our hosting provider —Vercel— for security and abuse limitation). The creator area uses Clerk as identity provider: if you create an account, your email and minimal authentication data are processed to manage your access and referral code. If you join the mailing list, we store your email (with your consent) to send you the cycle report and notify you of news such as the Pro launch; you can unsubscribe anytime by writing to us. We do not sell personal data, nor use tracking analytics or advertising profiling. You can request access, rectification or deletion of your data by writing to info@abyssindex.com. Legal basis: performance of the requested service and your consent.
AI Copilot
The «ABYSS Copilot» chat is optional. The messages you type are sent to our AI provider, Groq Inc. (United States), as a processor, solely to generate the answer; we don't use them for advertising. As a precaution, avoid including personal or sensitive data in the chat. As this is an international transfer, we rely on the provider's safeguards (standard contractual clauses / applicable adequacy frameworks). Answers are generated by a language model and may contain errors; they are educational information, not advice.
Cookies
The public site uses no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. In the creator area, Clerk sets strictly necessary cookies to keep your session logged in (functional); without them authentication isn't possible. As no tracking cookies are used, we don't show an intrusive consent banner; if we later add analytics, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
Intellectual property
The ABYSS brand, logo, design and published methodology belong to the project. Use of the widgets, images and index data is permitted while keeping attribution to ABYSS Index.
